The idea of MDES is to allow mid-stream recruitment to beef up the technical / engineering vocations in SAF.

let say if someone
2nd upper aerospace engineering
NTU
he join ST aerospace as a engineer doing UAV & military aircraft maintenance for 15 years with last appointment as < principal engineer>, then by age 40, he decided to sign on
RSAF as AFE, air force engineer under MDES.
So what rank will he be entering?
ME5 or ME6 ???
