SI for a 10k programmer to bring value, he need to develop an AI to assist the neurosurgeon to operate on damaged cell to make the neurosurgeon obselete.
Othwrise... High pay in tech is just because of consumerism.
People buy tech.
Same concept with why Hollywood actor 1 million per movie. Cause people buy movie.
Same reason why people pirate movies.
