Agreed. Haven't known anyone less than 15 years experience joining CS as SM. Assuming a graduate age 25, adding 15 years experience and will be around 40 yo. Therefore high potential officers under age 40 obtaining SM/AD is not norm. Title is one factor, salary range at lower or upper is another factor. It depend on the role if a SM/AD/DD is needed.

1) Don't need to factor in age.
2) It's depend on the role you are applying
3) Based on your past experience in fitting into the role
4) To be graded as SM, at least 15 yrs of relevant experience needed with minimum 8 years in managerial / senior / lead role
5) Don't based on your current drawn as the range will be based on given grade
