wont say that they lucked out big time.
Unlike ppl who get in through diversity (race/gender etc), these guys have to work really hard to amass a ton of relevant exp (professional and cca) and get absolutely outstanding grades to even get shortlisted.
they go through the same process as the rest for these programmes (cv, cover letter, stupid games, IQ tests, video interview, phone interview, assessment centers, superdays and what have you)
