Would like to ask all parents out there, how can we as parents realistically prepare our children to survive in the current/future job market? Based on what I see, singapore job market is getting increasingly competitive and is likely to worsen in the long run. (personally i wont be surprised if our neighboring ASEAN countries catch up with us in 10-20 years time and singapore will lose its competitive edge).

I remembered when I was young, my parents always tell me study hard, otherwise next time no job. However, I think now study hard alone is insufficient, you prob need to be in some niche fields (eg computer programming, medicine etc) to survive
