Based on my understanding, after graduation from PGDE, mid-career professionals are usually immediately emplaced onto the next salary grade. For instance, if you're now at the top range of GEO2 untrained, upon graduation from
NIE you will be emplaced on GEO3, and, barring any major performance issues, you can look forward to promotion to GEO4 sooner than others in your batch. Thereafter, it will be based on your performance.
