I agree. I also feel that
mindef low ball new entrants recently. My ex boss in stat board shared with me that directive since 2017 was to make it difficult and unattractive to join public service as SME are suffering from shortage of workers.
How many people are glad to take 3k and work 10-12 hours a day with no guarantee of 13th month or bonus?
But on the flip side, I still hear of people getting 4k with minimum exp for programming and financial jobs in public service so, could be demand and supply. Could also be ego inflated numbers.
