I'm hoping to get some advice if possible.

I was accepted into the SMU JD program, I applied on a whim without thinking I'd get in. I am very conflicted on whether to accept or not since I don't really know if this will open doors for me in future.

I don't plan to practice law, nor do I envision living in Singapore long term.

I would, however, like to go into arbitration or legal consultancy (either in Singapore or abroad).

Am I just being incredibly silly wasting 3 years doing a JD or do you think it will be a good foundation for going into arbitration or legal consultancy?

Any viewpoints will be helpful
