You need to be clear what exactly you are gunning for in your career. If you are sick of audit already because of work and long hours etc, it makes no sense to join big 4 as audit assistant as you will be the bottom rung scavenger getting even worse shiit compared to the associates. Spending the few years to study ACCA is also pointless as you will just face the same problem of 3-4 years as assistant and another 3-4 years as associate. That is a total waste of 7-8 years in the sweat shop for something that you don't like with crap pay.

If your intention is to do other things like admin, hr, accounting etc. it makes zero sense to go for pwc or whatever big 4. Big 4 works you to death and you get nothing in your cv to shout at as a support admin department. The more sensible way is to apply for these non-exec positions in a proper mnc or even the bigger glcs. At least the work hours are better, more relevant broad base exp, most likely better cv branding and pay progression is also around the same as big 4.

To you coming from a small local audit firm big 4 might seem like some prestigious international mnc, but in the bigger sea they are well known as sweat shops mass accepting generally average & below average finance grads and unless you want to get that customary 4 year audit associate exp in order to move into corporate finance, it's just plain silly to restrict yourself to big 4.
