Also note that the figures quoted are income subject to tax, my bonuses is in the 6-10 months range in the past few years, and a large part of the bonus is subject to 3-year deferrals. That's why the take home pay per month is much lesser than $60k per month, it's nearer to $33k per month. The rest are variable and may be cut to zero in a downturn.
