issey I see, thanks for the input.

I wouldn't mind going into compliance since the remuneration is not too bad too.

More importantly I want to get in and gain experience fast.

Based on what I am doing now, do you think I can get into the compliance department easily?

I had tried to get into a compliance position for quite a while now, and most need at least 1-2 yrs experience.

It is very hard for fresh grad to get in at all with no experience.
I hope this job scope helps??

Thanks again.

Unregistered risk route is very analytical and quantitative, not easy to go in. but if u do manage to get in, the rewards are high. risk people are highly paid nowadays.

imho compliance not much prospects, you will be doing the same thing everyday, maybe progress to legal side, audit, or become manager, remuneration can be said to be not bad too.

end of the day, it all boils down to what you really like doing and provide you with satisfaction.

compliance or risk analyst (bank)

Hi all, need some advise on job career.
Am now in a jap bank doing kyc reviews in the deposit (ops) department for corporate and consumer customers. Just started not long ago. Graduated in 2012 and worked in a foreign bank for a year in the service side.

Can I know how relevant this route is if I want to go to the compliance dept thereafter?

Wat about if I intend to go the risk analyst route, can I progress from here?
