Is it true international firms will ask folks to leave if they can’t make the assoc to counsel jump? Or counsel to partner leap?

Or no such thing? Or be JP at big 4 and play safe?

First to third year JPs in big4 are approx 17-18k+ base, with 1-2month max of bonus. Unless you’re reeling in huge books of business, which is impossible at this stage.
Agreed with your range.

Source? Are you a JP? You know most big 4 JP comp structure includes a percentage of billings right

if you think what he's saying has substance i recommend not coming into this industry. This industry is already full of overpaid idiots. Some from local uni some from foreign uni. Both types also have so its not even about the type of uni that breeds these idiots.

You need to have a certain level of IQ to make it in this industry and if this is the level of substance you guys enjoy debating over then please go do accountancy instead.
ayy lmao bruh chill im the OP this fool is replying but thank you for stating my point. this guy is a troll.

Personally, I'm interested to hear more on this discussion

I didn't know there were so many in-house internships available for nus/smu kids lol

not the guy who "bashed" him but i would also bash OP for saying redundant, out of place, out of touch, uninformed comments like that.

I just could not be bothered to give advice to someone who does not listen to advice which, he/she specifically and literally asked for.

I do not know what "substance" he is putting out because all I see is arrogance and ignorance.

If you did not know there were "in house internships" available for those kids maybe you are also part of the problem, go read up before commenting on something you have no idea about. You are just making a topic, which this forum is about, more opaque than it already is.

Let's get back to what we are all here for, salary.

Put on your CV until ****ing shiok.

But for real, unless you’re studying something very specialised at Harvard or Oxford, or if you want to enter academia, I don’t think doing those degrees are going to improve your lawyering. It might get people to stand up and notice you though, which might not be a bad thing from a career perspective.
