Hi jack,

I'm interested, but I'm wary of exotic investments after having burnt by timeshare schemes, country club memberships and structured investment products.

Traditional investment assets like shares and property seem to be the way to go for many of the lao jiao I know.

Could you highlight the pros and cons of wine investment?

Hi djt,

Thank you for being interested.

Well, from your experience after being burnt by other schemes, you will understand much more the importance of knowing and understanding how wine investment works.

Like any investments, there is a Risk and there will never be any "100% Guaranteed" kind of returns schemes. With more and more scams here in Singapore as well as all parts of the world, you have to really be careful who you are dealing with.

One of the pros is that wine is an interesting and tangible investment asset. When you invest in the right wines at the right price, you will be able to acheive some really good returns in the long run. The main principle in this investment is the Demand and Supply.

The investment in fine wines is also much less risky than investing in equity markets.. Hence the risk –reward ratio for fine wines is very high.
