then the AI for not consider low is how much per year?
300-400 annual increment is consider 'normal'?

if he work for 4 years since fresh grad, he dun even have any promotion increment? consider 200/year for 4 years

Unhappy Joining Ministry from Stat Board - pay cut

If you have been offered pay difference between Ministries and Stat Boards, appreciate your inputs. Thanks

Hi, my current pay at Statutory Board is $6150. Offered a job a another Ministry for similar job scope but at $5550. Quite surprise at the $600 pay cut or almost 10% less.

Is this normal for someone switching from stat board to ministry ?

Default Inter ministry transfer

Hi, I m 28m pass degree..
2007 join stat board 2.8k, left at 3k
2008 join ministry at 3.3k..at 2011, drawing 4.1k..
is this considered good?

soon i will receive another offer from stat board, they say it will be inter-ministry transfer which i do not need to resign, just transfer over, even leave also carry over..
wonder if it is good..but they claim that they can't offer me too much more than my last drawn..

yup, u are right abt my age..me study science, work in mindef non-uniformed..my rank is almost like MX12..
but not sure if i get transferred to another ministry/stat board, isit a good thing..now hoping they offer me higher then i can decide to transfer out..new job offer may need work shift n wear uniform, but career advancement is better than my current..

i think you should wait till april, after the merit increment then transfer?

by april your salary should be ~+300 more?
and maybe between apri to june, mindef will have the so called wage adjustment for mindef people under DX scheme? 10% more if under MX12 or MX11

assume all come together in april

4100 + 10%(410) + 300 = ~4.8k?? you still want to change job??

4.8k for a pass degree in 5 years exp is very good salary!!!

i had already informed the other side of the merit increment..so they shd factor it in if they transfer me over before april..but unlikely that fast since i need to hand over things..in any case, i will delay it till after april
yearly increment is abt +200 only..i had taken a wage adjustment last year that's y i m getting more than most peers who graduated in 2007..by april, the most expected is 4.3-4.4k..but my current ceiling is ard 4.8k..
which is y the new job offer shd cater to my expected which is ard 4.4k and above
