and to top it off, you think you're smarter than some of the smartest people in Singapore combined - we're talking about people with genius-level IQs, who have run a country like clockwork, for whom leading and thinking strategically is like second nature - while you've resorted to asking for job advice in an online forum called salary.sg, and complaining about how people above you are reaping the rewards of their brilliance xD please know your place.

hilarious. now u said i am a rank-and-file wannabe-highflyer, stuck in some dead end job, ignored by superiors and HR. u think u really know me? lol
well now i say u r a toilet cleaner with a tiny brain who dream of becoming an AO while u wash toilet bowls
pls know ur place
since when did i say i am smarter than AOs? Such lousy comprehension skills. Did u pass O lvl? You must be a retard.
i have respect for AOs who are really smart just that i think the pay diff btw non-AO superscale and AO superscale need to be closer.

Sheesh. All the mud-slinging and name-calling.
Truly reflective of your calibre.

Just to put the discussion back on track - I realise that many of the posts here are actually on positions in the public service, not the civil service. I think it would be good if there are separate threads to make the distinction so as not to confuse those who are considering whether to join ministries or statutory boards.
