As with almost all internships offered by the CS/PS, you will most likely be tasked with a research project which you will do for the duration of your internship (4-8 weeks usually). The project is usually related to what the department does but it won't really give you the real insight of what the department does on a daily basis. You will most likely be asked to present to the senior management (or at least director level) on your project findings.
At best you will get to interact with the mentor/staff you will be attached to, and that will give you a good chance to find out more about the job scope as a full time employee and the working environment. Usually you would stand a good chance to go back to the ministry, and the department you interned for upon graduation

I am from a stat board. The ceiling of my current scale is at 9k.
What is the equivalent of that in CS? MX10 or MX11 or MX11A?

Around 8.5K and 10.5K for MX11A and MX10 respectively.

Hello. Can i ask what is the chance of RMIT graduates with Business degree to join the Public sector? heard that it is not that likely to get in and if it does, i will most probably categorised under the diploma scheme. Anyone can advise? Thank you!
