Normally engineer are paid more than the HR admin people.

I know a friend from NTU aerospace engineering 1st class female(no NS) getting $3700 starting.

Tks for input =). She's not in engrg or hr. I guess her luck very poor when salary is concerned. Always offered the range of 2nd class upper/3rd class =(
It seems diff stat boards or ministries hv diff starting salary.

Are you under the ministry of home affair (HASE) scheme?

Are you (Male with NS) or (Female w/o NS)

$3288 for a 'pass with merit' local degree as fresh grad is very good!!

any way your 3288, the 88 seem to be odd, normally they offer is to the hundredth, eg 3000 or 3100 or 3200 or 3300, why they give you the 88??

Singapore Customs isnt under MHA, its under MOF.

I am Male with NS so i guess i got another 200 more..haha
I was actually initially offered $3068. After i started work, the HR dept called me to tell me that my pay was revised by $220 to $3288. No complains i guess...

- overseas degree (via full time distant learning)
- 3 years in a ministry, first job
- $3700 pm

i know some people here mentioned that if u're not 2nd upper or scholar, then civil service would not be for u and i know with my qualifications my grade would probably die at MX11 but to say the least, i am very grateful for my pay package.

-how much is your starting pay when you 1st join the ministry?
-wat is your grade now, mx12 ?
-how much is your annual package? 15mth? 16mth or more? pls specify?

i only graduate with a pass degree.. mine is not an honours program. my starting pay is 3k. yeap im mx12 now and per year about 55k.

Don't mind sharing what ya working as currently? 6.1k (including bonus & allowances?) salary for 6 years working exp is very good.
