We are a married couple in our mid 40s. Our total income (both active plus passive) amounts to $193k pa. Our home is a condo, currently worth about $1m and it is paid up. We own a car too for convenience. Our annual savings is about $50k pa.

We lead a comfortable middle class lifestyle with holidays twice a year. Our current net worth is close to $1.5m.

We hope to retire in our late 50s. We don't mind downgrading to a smaller condo which is comfortable for two persons. We will get a condo next to an MRT station when we retire so that we would not need to own a car for us to travel.

Well done. You have profited from the government policy in the 80s and 90s.
Now it's time for you to donate some wealth back to the society as you are earning so comfortably.

Maybe start with 0.5% as recommended by ESM Goh.

Yes, we can. There r Sgpn doing that. The kid can get a student pass and the parents a guardian pass renewable yearly. But concerned about the standards in international school there and also the costs.

Congrats in your upgrading. Good that you sell your flat to buy the condo. How much is your condo? What's your HH total net worth?
