why not? BCG pays very well for instance. Had a friend who went to do his MBA at Cambridge (after working for several years), came back and joined them. Told me his monthly pay was about 10K so these numbers aren't really surprising. He left because they worked him like a dog.

He left to join an MNC to do some business strategy thingy. I don't know how much he is making now but I don't think it's 10k.

Pretty accurate. I'm an accountant by training, age 37, 12k base as a financial controller in a small co.

Does your company give out good bonuses? So on a per annum basis, do you make 180k?

FOr back office banking, is it still possible to earn 12-18k?
This sample is academic-achieving top 5% jc batch, cannot compare with mere mortals born in 1976 like us who still slog for 3k or less as technicans, office administrators, f&b supervisors, taxi-drivers, bank tellers, pre-school teachers, etc who represent 80% of workforce

I feel sorry for those academic achievers who chose the engineering route. I did badly for O level, flunked my A level in Pre-U, took a pte distant learning IT degree. Contented to be making 7.2k a month as an IT manager at age 39.
