Mid career change from banking to Govt job, is it possible?
I am working in a bank for 8 years and is thinking of a midcareer change to Govt job. Is it possible given my working experience is only banking and with a DL degree from pte university?

I am another poster. The decision is yours to make. I have similar background as you, just 5 years in banking. When I first graduated, I was never called up for a government job. As private grads, we will be disadvantaged to be in the government sector. Perhaps you are in the stage of your life where you value stability more. You have to think about what you value at this point and the pros and cons. If you have decided to switch, then don't look back and regret. There will always be trade offs in every decision you make. All the best.

pls consider carefully before u make the jump.. unless u maintain ur contacts in the bank, its hard to re-enter..
most importantly, consider what are u seeking for in a career? stability, same process daily?
once u have listed down what u seek, list down ur options.. then strike it out one by one.. go discuss it w ur friends and family before deciding..
all the best!
*pay no attention to those who are seeking to cause rifts without offering advice, for one day they will be in a position asking for help too*
