Advise on polytechnic courses

I need help on choosing my polytechnic courses.
I'm really very interested in solar energy which is available in clean energy course. But its engineering ... i wont earn much in future?unless i "create" something. I want to be successful in my career earning 6 digit PA(~300 000). Dont laugh at me because i know i can. The problem i'm facing is HOW! Believing in myself is not enough.

I'm also interested in computers such as Information Technology but still prefer solar .

I'm not really interested in finance and banking sector except for stock market =X which is too risky , i'm not taking that risk. Furthermore i doubt i can get into banking/finance courses.

I plan to study at uni after NS.
