Nielsen
Hi,
Anybody knows the salary range for entry level positions in Nielsen?
What is the typical advancement path within the organization?
What are the chances of jumping over to the FMCG client side and what are the career and salary beneifts of doing so?

What kind of roles can an experienced market researcher expect to fulfil in FMCG companies? Brand manager?
Can one expect remuneration to increase significantly if he/she jumps over to client side?

If you can jump into brand or pricing manager level in top FMCGs they should be able to pay 12-16k depending on portfolio.

very rare for people with research background to go into brand/pricing manager.
most stay within research, even after switching to client side.

Progression as follows (on avg, subjected to performance):
executive: 1-2 years
snr exe: 1-2 years
mgr 2-3years
snr mgr: 2-3 years
Assoc directors
directors
etc
& yes jumping over to client side is very possible after > 2 years exp. Usually will stay in the research field. pay varies based on exp

Wow so even an average performer only needs 4 to 6 years to reach Senior Manager!? That's like mid 20s for female & foreginers and late 20s for local males with NS.
