Part B electives
Any one can advice what part B electives to take?
Must choose one from Category A and Category B
Category A: Advanced Corporate Practice, Intellectual Property Law Practice, Law and Practice of Arbitration
Category B: Admiralty Practice, Cross-Border Transaction, Mediation Skills or Wills, Probate & Administration Practice

IP and Admiralty are good choices for scoring distinctions.

SMU JD Program
Hello all,
I am writing here in the hope someone could share their insight on SMU's JD Program.
I was accepted to my surprise since I've never been very studious.
I run my own mobile app business by myself on the side and I'm worried whether I'll realistically have any time to dedicate to it.
For those that have studied in this course, realistically, how many hours a day would you recommend to study/read? My worry is, I don't want to take this opportunity away from someone better deserving of this offer to study at SMU, someone who is prepared to live the law for the next 3 years.
Is it realistically possible to balance studying the JD and running a side business?
Thanks for any help!

I graduated from smu jd. I will say that you do really need to spend time studying and preparing. It is a tax-ing course i will say. But there are still people that are working or with family and still doing it well. So it really is about how you manage the time.

Hey thanks for your input!
I've read around various forums that it is difficult to get a training contract. Did you find it difficult?
Let's pretend my GPA is 3.01, would I find it difficult?

go office get scolded
end work after 9 pm
reach office 9 am
boss comes 10 am then start getting edgy daily when things need her to clear
then just keeps getting scolded
no mood for lunch
