Why does this industry treat each other so badly?

Is it because of the stress?

Workplace bullying should not be condoned and has no place in Singapore.

Will lawsoc be able to help me? I am just a trainee, not a lawsoc member.
What can manpower ministry do? bring my boss to labor court?

Start applying to other firms for a transfer of your training contract.

Is it easy to find another firm at this stage in 3rd month of tc? what if there’s no firm to take me in?

also that doesn’t solve the issue that the female boss will continue to create the toxic culture to the next trainees.

I am really depressed and at loss. Life was so peaceful and easy during my studies in London. Now coming to singapore, it is really shocking that people here despite being a professional choose to be nasty and play toxic mind games.

I used to be rich when I was studying in UK. But after my education, my parents business collapsed and I had to frantically search for a law firm to work and do my training. My peers who studied in UK with me had multiple connections. Treatment is different when you are connected.

I had a med friend and she tells me how nice her colleagues/bosses are. They will cover when she is sick or unwell or have issues.

Law is a different place. Ppl are happy when you fall. Is it cos of the industry?

Default just quit

just quit lah. is it so important to be a lawyer?

maybe you are still young but you have to ask yourselves what you really want and what makes you happy.

you will only face the same **** in the next firm, next phase when you become associate.

It's because the doctors out there who are passionate about medicine are in the majority, the ones who become a doctor for prestige or even money are in the minority. For law, it's the other way round, and thus the environment is more competitive and toxic.
