advice for negotiating on the offer
Hi guys I was offered by a IT company with 7K + 0.8k transport allowance + 1-2month variable bonus. However the hirer told me the budget for this role is unto 7.5K and really wanted to have me in his team. But the HR is sort of hesitating for offering that high and putting a reason as mine is higher than the benchmark they usually set.
Currently I'm drawing 81k OTE with 1.2K/m transport allowance and pretty sure that other companies of the same nature can offer me the same or even higher than that(7K) as quite a few referrals from direct employers came to me which I haven't accept. So my question is shall I just negotiate based on this offer or look out for more before countering this?
btw i'm an expat of 4.5 years of exp in iT industry and turning into 27 next year.

The firm made it clear on the remuneration package, seems like not incentive to accede to request. Stay with the current one or switch to others who are able to afford you
Let's say even if the firm accomodates your request, retrenchment/repatriation will hit you im an event of uncertainty. Do what it takes to secure a good position.
Assuming negotiation is your choice, ask for more variable incentives such as stock options, phone coverage, petrol incentives etc. HR may not immediately respond to increasing base pay but expatriates do have this advantage

You're in a good stead but that doesn't mean anyone can belittle someone with mockery. Do understand that not everyone has desired circumstances nor equal opportunities to take advantage of.
