seems like a lot of people here not in banking jealous & try to mislead others. banking MAP is the most prestigious out there, sorry that you didn't get in but that is the undeniable fact. ask any top grad if given a choice where they want to go and 90% will say either bank fo or if cannot bank MAP.

Mid 30's above $200k is pathetic, most local bank MAPs can pay >$200k by late 20s lor. Some of you here really frog in the well don't know market trends still try to BS.

Really? I have never heard of local bank MAPs making >$200k by late 20s. Assuming they start at 23-25, with a pay of $5k. That's roughly a 400% increase over 4-6 years.
I have MAs as friends, and they have never said/mentioned that.

Speak for yourself.
There are many capable people (of which top grads are included) who do not wish to work in banking. That leaves them with other career opportunities in oil and gas, FMCG, consulting and/or other major MNCs.
Don't tar everyone with the same brush just because you are boring, one-dimensional and willing to sell out your soul for money. Not everyone of us is like you.

I don't think that's true. Most MAs get rotated to BO roles (that's a fact), and they don't earn much in that capacity.

Whats so hard to earn above $200k annual? AFAIK most banking VP and even some AVP stay long enough are making that. And not to say in a bank so many AVP & VP. Some of you here are really getting excited over nothing.
As for some of the "experts" here who say oil & gas, fmcg, consulting etc are the same are just delusion. Maybe some of the top paying people exceed banking, but on the whole no doubt banking is the highest. Some people here are just trying act expert bye pretend to be inudstrial expert or headhunter when they are just specualting.
