I'm also hitting the 2 year mark in sep 2015.

You should stay. If your MD really likes you a lot, you will have a good future. 50k is a good salary. When it comes to promotion you will be in line if you are loyal and good performance.

when students go internship, those who get converted to perm roles go back to the dept they were interning in as the dept wants to take in staff that are gd n they already know ur work quality and ur standard. draw ur own conclusions.

lol it's not an internship, it's a temp job recommended by recruit agent when i did not have any related experience at that time. Furthermore, the DGM told me I was highly recommended by my previous manager. The role that i previously worked at do not require a perm because its a simple data entry. why would they hire a more expensive perm just to do data entry. you should understand the situation before making any comments.
secondly, it's not you or I to choose what role we want to be in, it depends on headcount.
I doubt you are a fresh graduate, you must have been zombified by the reality about sucking thumb, and not pursuing your own passion. why fit yourself into something which is not your forte.
no offense but i think you should hold your gun for being so pessimistic.

There are aplenty posting comments without knowing the full picture and just jump into conclusions based solely on their own smart Aleck assumptions so its up to us to filter and be bothered with only relevant comments to each situation.

Maybe take your own advice? You did say you feel like you don't fit in your current role. If so, why stay on? Because it is a bank? There are better things out there than banks, but of course those who are in banks will beg to differ.

TS you should figure what you want first, what kind of career you want to go into?
Don't give those generic answers like 'I want to work in a bank' because in banks you have various functions as well.
Given the fact that you are fresh graduate, you can explore all you want. Leave this job and look for another.
Unless you know what you want, you will not be happy if you keep changing jobs to test water. Your prospective employer may not be willing to hire job hopper as well. Hard truth.

I am 45 this year, and I work in the Manufacturing and supply chain sector. I make about $150k pa. It may not seem high to some, but my job scope and level stress is tremendous, and its impacting my sleep, and family time. I am seriously considering to quit but on the other hand reluctant to give up the money. anyone has similar situation and able to provide some advise?
My wife is also working with similar income level. Our condo is fully paid and new car is almost paid. Have cash + CPF about $800k.
