Was an ex-intern in tech consulting, got fast tracked to the final round.. will take my final interview next week. Heard some rumors from my school mates about tech consultants only being considered for positions in the health/public sector, apparently there is little to no headcount for other sectors.
Will still consider other options even if I'm offered, just want to secure a safety net in this horrible job market right now. did you apply for MC or TC?

Thank you for this insight, definitely seems true enough to me.
I interviewed for MC but have been put on ice for a while. They haven't sold enough projects for headcount but are continuing to interview candidates

Warning, do not be deceived by Accenture's deceptive hiring practice. Interviewed and get hired as a technology consulting analyst. Even before 1st year got moved to a non consulting role with a different progression trajectory. Why is it deceptive? Because I wouldn't have accepted the offer for a non consulting role in the first place, likewise for my peers who got moved

Most likely is performance issue or company reorg, things could have been worse as some co. simply terminate w/o package instead of transfer.

People, Accenture isn't management consulting. Dress it however you want, but it isn't changing the facts. It is however a great Technology consulting business, if that's what you are after.
