Question on NS increment
Hi all, was wondering how the increments for National Service work. Is it a one time increment, or would it be factored into your annual increment every year?

You get your increment when you get promoted. For example, if you get promoted in the middle of the month, your increment will be pro-rated to the amount of days you were at that particular rank or position.

Does that mean that the NS increments will always take into effect every single time there's a promotion?
Also, what do you mean by being pro-rated to the particular position? Is it with regards to the duration spent in the current job and factoring in the NS increments?
Thanks in advance!

Ns increment is only applicable upon joining the service. It is factored into the starting pay. That's all.
