How useful is CMFAS in improving career?
Hi,
Should I study for and appear in the CMFAS certification?
Does it go a long way in improving the career prospects?
Any personal experience would be welcome.
Thanks,
LBG

The thing about finance or say econs mods is that the more u learn, the less common sense u will have remaining. It's like gg through major brainwash that when u attain higher qualification, the things u blabber becomes nonsensical to a clear minded rational audience. That's the reason why PhDs who think they are smart enough to centrally plan the economy never foresee the crisis they manufacture with their own hands, either that or they are playing dumb as their puppet masters instruct them to do so

CMFAS is just a requirement for people doing bank sales.
If you cant pass the required modules, you cant sell, which means you lose your job.
If your position doesn't require any cmfas modules, then having it would not be helpful either.
If you are interested in finance or banking, you can go for ACCA or CFA exams.
Or you can get a free course in forex. It seems that sixCapital is currently giving a good offer. see this website review here. ://singaporetempjob.com/six-capital-forex-course/

For Corporate Finance, it is totally useless. If you get a job which requires Module 4, the coy will pay for it and you have to go for it. There is no point doing it outside yourself. Having passed module 4 would not give you legs up in any way. It is really easy to pass. Up to you if you wanna take, but my advice is for you to save that money up. Do CFA or CPA if you use extra papers as a route to Corporate Finance.

Useless. Anyone can pass them after studying for a few days. So, there is no difference in hiring someone with or without those certs

The papers are only useful if you are doing sales (insurance), for M5, M9, M9A, HI.
For others then it will be futures trading, unit trusts, etc. Go for it only if you need it.
