it's decent, probably average among mncs. but considering how hard they tekan ppl during ac and how the recruiters behave until so arrogant, not really worth it.

But the thing about Shell salaries is that they are heavily bonus driven. The base pay is often pretty low about $3k+ with a 15 month package and variable bonus. With oil prices low, many of the oil and gas super majors have given out low to no pay bonuses for the past year and this year.
And yes for how arrogant they are, not worth it la. It's not like 300k in 5 years or something..

3k+ sounds even lower than glc. now with oil price like that i think next 2-3 years no bonus for all the oil co liao.

I attended the Shell AC too. I cant agree more that the some of the staff were super arrogant and proud of themselves. One even said that she has been in Shell since many years and knows how to help the company select candidates. Unfortunately, she interviewed me for one of the components and made a stern face throughout the entire component :O
their arrogance reflected in their feedback given to the candidates as well, which was rather harsh. the feedback was phrased more positively by other companies.. lol

yes the culture there is very messed up.
Every day, all of them will like to talk about "big picture" and how to get things done. A lot of politics and wayang.

How was the assessment centre? Was it in a very competitive environment? Which function were you called to AC for?

Work on contract with them before, very slow moving & political place - whole day meeting talk rot or gossip by the corner which they like to claim 'internal networking'. The good ones who do real work get ostracize by the long serving staff & dont stay long.
