so after 9 months of that, i finally found a job. but the cake is that this job is a temp role paying between 2 to 3 k. it is an admin role in disguise. good thing is location is good, office is nice, work place is pleasant, people there dress well to impress, but only bad thing is i am doing work that nobody really cares and it does not add value in my resume if i write photocopying stuff for projects, and ad hoc duties.
i am still at a loss now,

Hi.. U are a guy or girl? Cos if u are a girl, all that junk food would make u feel worse. Perhaps u can look at things from a more positive viewpoint. U did exercise and meet up with friends which are positive things and things which gave u a goal. So u are not totally directionless.
I'm also unemployed. But I try to occupy myself with meaningful things like exercising, reading, meet up with friends. I also indulge in my favourite hobby i.e. watching dramas now and then. There are times when I feel directionless so I try to focus on positive things. These activities are also activities which u can only have the luxury of doing when u are not working.

I can understand fully. I am also unemployed. I also wish to sleep early and go off to work as early as 6am rather than staying at home sending resumes. At times feel quite negative. But I do often go jog and cycle to prevent myself from being too down. Yup dramas and listening to songs also good. At least do help.
Good luck to everyone who still jobless. Maybe today morning have good news

My daily life : Wake up, swim, send resume, lunch, send resume, jog, tv, send resume, sleep
Monthly income: $0
Stay strong and positive. Even if feeling desperate, cannot find a job that is not your interest at all. Surely affect work performance and the chance of quitting soon is very high.

Wow that's quite a disciplined routine. Easier said than done leh. I have been jobless for many months already. Now I am applying to jobs that I am not really interested in.

I now understand why people will fall into depression when they are unemployed. Everyday I wake up feeling lost and directionless, waiting beside my phone for it to ring. Terrible feeling.

Has to be disciplined. I also jobless for months. At times, look at career @ gov, and still seeing most applications still remain "submitted" or no calls from any private/public companies.. But life still goes on. Bills still have to be paid, especially mobile and insurance
I also wish to post something on the thread "compare civil service salary" and "How much are you earning annually", but i know I can only post here till i find a job
If not interested in the job at all, how to spend days in the workplace? It would be worse than my army days.
