DSTA is so lacking in applicants, they started recruiting undergraduates a few years back. Offering undergraduates money and contracts to lock them in like SAF and Police. That is how desperate they are.

They need SINGAPOREAN Engineers. Limited pool of people to recruit from, hence the above average pay. Good thing is the company will never replace you with cheap FT engineers. There are projects that can only be handled by SINGAPOREANS. Bad thing is the skills are not transferable. Once you leave, you may have to start over.

I used to place DSTA as my backup plan, in case my first few career choices didn't pan out.

From what I know, unless u have an internship in DSTA, don't even think they will give u a chance if u don't have an expected second upper. Alot of my friends who have 2nd upper didn't get called up for interview

They are in need of singaporean engineers. 2nd lower will do also. i am one example.

How about mech engine 3rd class? I sent in a lot of times but was never selected. Is it my degree or I'm lacking?

I don't think so. They only take in 2nd upper and first. Well you can still try!

You are those lucky few tbh. Dsta mainly take in first or second upper from what I heard.

Does anyone have a rough time frame as to how long it takes for them to get back to you aft the interview? (procurement)

Anyone applied in Jan and got rejected by them?
