MX12 reappointed at MX11

I joined a ministry at MX12. Was actually told to come over as MX11. Anyways my agency indicated to them that my equivalent was MX12. I was short of $100 from crossing over.

Anyways they asked me to joined and stated that about a year will MX11. In 2 months will be a year. Also my emplacement is up. Is it really true that I can be emplaced and reappointed at mx11 or m I being smoked.

Thanks for the revert. Well had a talk with my RO. She said march PB, I will just see a norm as I am less than a year so it is a technicality but not to worry, we will have q talk in 2 months time at the one year mark. RO advised that director is trying to help me. Anyways everything sounds vague. Just wished they could tell me like directly. Had to work like a dog

I feel for you. They are playing a game to keep you but might not keep their promises. If they want to move to MX11, then they will do so when they employ you. The story about short of $100, is a lie. Now, it depends on your promotion. I have a colleague. Joined in 2020 as MX13, in 2021, promoted to MX12. and 2024, promoted to MX11.

So are you MX12 or MX11 now? if you have a degree, most of the time, they will start you at MX11. Most of us will just be promoted to MX11A and that is it. MX10 is only available if the person died or quit or retired then there is position available to be promoted. Some of my colleagues had to be transferred out to be promoted to MX10 cause there is no position available in the current department.

Hmm..fresh grads starts at MX13 not MX11. If you got experience, and depending on which type, and length of experience, you might be employed at MX12 or MX11. So, it is not automatic MX11.

Not all fresh grads start at MX13. Because of tech salaries now some are already starting at MX12 as default. Then first promo hit MX11.

Those that joined before this change have to suck it up.
