For jobs in public sector, when would the interveiw outcome be known?

Say after a job interview for a position in the public sector, usually, what would be the typical timeframe for the HR to get back to the selected job seeker?

Will it be very fast? on the same day after the interview, a day after the interview? or even 2 weeks?

Those who have been offered a position after an interview, how long did the HR take to get back to you?

I am not sure because I have no experiences, but I will like to join in the discussion as well.

I think there are a few possibilities:

- The HR working efficiency
- After the closing date of the job opening

Correct me if I'm wrong ya? Cheers.

I just got a job at a stat board...

Took them a few days to a week to return on the reply for both second round int and also job offer (after 2nd round int)..

so they took one week to inform you that you have been offered the job after the 2nd round interview?

I went for MOE interview for MX post before.

only got 1 interview, they offer me the job which I decline because of salary issue after 3 weeks.

My friend went for DSTA 1 interview, just after the interview on his way back home, DSTA call and offer him that day, he immediately rush back to DSTA to sign the offer

MOE offered me a $1000 pay cut last time. They are quite by-the-book about the whole 'relevant experience' thing.

moe offer me almost same annual salary, higher basic n lower bonus, my previous company is lower basic n higher bonus.

the only relevant thing in the jobscope is "project management"

they never give me what i want of +20% annual salary, so i reject.

Goodness. Grasscutter still talking about his miserable grasscutting career. If he had quit and spent time giving tuition or selling kway teow or mee mok, maybe he would have become a millionaire already.

sian..usually if they get back within a 1wk means they are very keen to hire the jobseeker
anything more than 1 wk, the chances just get slimmer..there goes my chanes:(
