Really depends which level in PA. Those that are clearical or administrative are usually not in the 3 list. They are usually older and just demotivated going through motion in life and waiting to knock off everyday. Their attitude is neither good nor bad, just robotic.
For the younger ones like CME, CM, CD etc 30% belong to #1 and 70% #3. Very few are in #2 cauz it really doesnt open any doors to anything. At most you feel good when the minister or mp attend your wedding or wake of your family. Singapore gov is more into scholar and even if some mp likes you and recommend you to some gov organization, there is a limit for somone with grassroot background.

officially must go through interview, but if you have some influential mp who is also board director or some committee member refer you to a stat board or glc of course much much easier.
but all i can say is maybe u can get some low level manager job through recommendation, but dun bluff yourself u will be sitting in some cushy job in a glc as a VP, those are for the scholars.

Anyone went for interview with PA recently? Can share? Seems like PA jobs are not as popular as IPOS jobs. The thread on IPOS got new posts everyday.
