Any Ministry or Statboard still offers permanent appointments?

Just wondering if the civil or public service still offers permanent appointments rather than contract positions? If yes, which are the ones that still do so? Thanks.

bro, most ministries and stat boards, i believe, generally offer contract posts.. with a view to a perm conversion unless it's really a project-based job. if you perform averagely and meet expectations and not cock up, more often then not you would be granted a perm conversion
