Default Expected Salary - IT Professional

Just got approved for my PEP and it's time to start nailing things down before i pick-up sticks, Main one having issues with is sorting through the conflicting information been seeing for last 6 months over salary (seen everything from 24,000 to 160,000 at what i believe is my level)

Can someone have a look at my specs and tell me if i am being unrealistic (or even better underestimating ) my value in Singapore market

European, Male 36,
16 Years IT experience, Development/Consulting. Mainly .NET, web and desktop, specialising in LOB application development (Some BA and PM as well)
No Degree, but quite a few of relevant MS Certs
Currently clearing about 110,000sgd to 140,000sgd as contractor in London (Non finance)

Is pricing myself at around 90,000sgd to 100,000sgd in SG realistic? It not what would be?

100k per annum but no degree? If i'm the HR, i would have tossed your application out. Paper qualification is the pre-requisite, followed by your IT certs

ActiveTechPros.com will give you a good idea actually.

Developers in Singapore don't actually get paid SGD160 000 per annum unless its a developer in a niche finance related domain like algorithm trading.

At the rate you say, you will be looking at someone like a PM with 10 years experience.

I know it's not great (but it's well above average if not working finance)

But seems still no actual relevant answer except the suggestion about ActiveTechPros which seems to say should expect 90-100 but with very small sample size and unfortunately does not separate out finance which always skews the figures

No, aint gona fly. 100K SGD is usually level for Senior Manager in MNC in Singapore. At that rate companies want people with full PM experience for at least a few years and must have managed a sizable team of at least 4-5 ppl before.

Specialist role like your ones will bag you SGD 80K at best, most don't hit 5k per month.

Quite right. The prospects isn't that well if u don't have at least a well-recognised doctorate. On top of that it's contract based.
