How much pay for Claims Executive?
Hi I have about 2 years of Claims in a loss adjusting firm, dealing with workmen compensation, motor investigation and delaying with 3rd parties, etc. I also have some investigation experience at Property and casualty claims.
My current pay is about $3k and I understand I may not have enough experience to ask for a higher pay. My degree is also privately taken.
I am thinking of applying for a change of environment to either a Insurance firm, or Reinsurance firm. Well, as I have been dealing with various insurance firms (many of them actually), I can say I might know the various Heads and Claims Managers.
As such, I think I might be able to apply through, if I am determined enough. Furthermore, I am very hardworking in my course of work and managed relationships with my clients (insurance firms) quite well.
But I am interested in the quantum I can look forward to. Roughly how much can i hope to have?
Thanks for sharing.

Do you have ACII?
If not, go get it.
Then deposit ur CV on job portal of international search group or engage a good recruitment firm to represent you
(do a google search. IPS is an example of such group)
Seek those Foreign-based and/or international recruiting firm instead of the local ones.
The former will market you as a candidate and fight for the best package, most local ones will push your resume and hope to close the deal fast.
You will need the ACII to grab both the former's attention and MNC insurer's attention.
If lucky, can expect more than 100% pay rise and 33% more leave days.
If not, expect 20% pay rise.
Good luck dude

Thank you for your reply.
By taking ACII, I can hope to have such increment? That's nice. Unfortunately, there's not alot of big loss adjusting firms in Singapore, as we don't really place much importance in this market.
But how can an executive ask for such a pay? I mean, not putting myself down, but just curious to ask in such a manner.

New insurers (with budget) are entering the matter.
You have to find your own way... ...
If not, stay in loss adjusting.
Bear with it for for a few more years and you are one of the few rare talents left

The compensation of corporate chief executives has drawn more scorn as an engine of income inequality. Besides minimum wage, this is another issue regarding salary. Many people were annoyed that large bonuses were being paid to executives whose companies were getting taxpayer-funded bailouts. Almost 40 executive compensation packages of $3 million or more were directly approved by the government’s accounting division, of which 16 received $5 million or more in 2012, according to the Wall Street Journal. Most of their pay came from stock-based compensation rather than base salary.
