Polys are fairly autonomous and have some degree of free play in their policies, even those concerning recruitment.
The principal and higher management set the direction - some are very conservative concerning staffing, while others are more forward-looking and plan ahead for future expansion.
Some insist that new staff can only join at the lower ranks, never accepting a senior or experienced lecturer - that's why you see some poly advertising for 'Lecturer', while there are those advertising for 'Senior/Lecturer' - they really mean what they say!
Leave it for those interested to apply, get interviewed and find out!

Hi, I intend to quit my private sector job and apply for lectuter position in poly so that i have more time to spend with kids.
How is the working hours in poly? Eg. If my class finishes at 4pm, can I leave at 4pm?
Do i have to go back everyday during holiday?
What kinds of ECA i have to involve?
I have a local university honour degree. Have been working in finance industry for 12 years, holding a VP position now. What kind of salary I can get?
Appreciate replies from you guys. Thanks.

What is the official working hours? 9am to 5pm?
How many days of annual leave?
Sound like working hrs same as private sector, which means does not make sense for me to take a huge pay cut to switch to teaching. I am looking for shorter working hrs and i dont mind a lower pay. For my current job, i knock off at 630pm.
Actually I am a poly grad. My lecturers were very relax, they came at 10am if their first class started at 10am. And most of them left at 4pm.
