Resignation and year end bonus
Hi,
I plan to resign from poly. If my last day of service is after 31 Dec, can get the year end bonus? Anyone knows?

From my observation, those who have worked in the industry, with one company (esp MNC) for a long period of time, would most likely have a higher pay then the Poly can offer. And hence offered a potential pay cut. One of my colleague (15 years with HP) got retrenched, was told his last drawn pay is higher than Director.

More like public sector anyhow inflate titles. Their director is just manager and all the other rubbish like DD/AD are assistant manager/senior associate.

The pay of a director in poly at 50 yo is quite different than at 40yo. At 50, he/she is likely to be at Pax 2. Ceiling is 17k. All in, yearly will be $17k X 18 Mths > 300k.
I would find it hard to believe someone from a has-been tech MNC like HP draws 300k at 40 ( your eg mentions 15 years of Long employment with 1 company). Of course if the fellow is in tech sales, perhaps lah... But if in process or test, forget it!
