Bad time to move?
Hi guys, could use some advice... I know the industry isn't doing well now, but I have been looking at jumping to another bank. I have 2.5yr exp in FO corp banking at a large non-IB foreign bank.
But I feel underpaid... Currently drawing around 5k and bonus has been terrible (like 1-2 months..) despite good performance! Do you guys think my expectations are too high or is this the industry norm? Will I get more elsewhere?

Hi, I think definitely underpaid. What is your rank now?? Associate?? I have been working for 1.5 years and I'm getting 6k with about 4 months bonus. I'm the equivalent of an associate rank. So one rank above the lowest rank of analyst. Just got promoted beginning of the year.

Yes, I'm an Associate too... Are you also at a foreign non-IB? My gut feeling was that market for this kinda exp should be 6-7k!

Yes I'm also at a large foreign bank. My bak does IB too but I'm in a non-IB function. I expect to be paid 7k next year without any promotion.

For your experience it ought to be ~7.5k with 5+ months bonus.

Hi Mate,
Yes, the remuneration scheme is similar to home but the economy is not that good so don't expect more than 6 months of bonus at this point okay
