Hi, recently i started to be active looking around for a job switch. However one of the agency ask me whether am i a contract or permanent staff currently. Fact is I am a contract staff currently. But i would like to know what's the difference if i say i'm contract or permanent staff? Would the remuneration be different or eligibility for the job be affected? Will the agency actually know whether i'm contract or permanent?
Best is don't lie. The HR of the new company can find out quite easily if they want to. They probably want to know how picky you are when it comes to the next job and pay. Someone on contract would be more desperate than someone who currently have perm job.
