Why Thomson Area new launch continue to be attractive?
Nanshan Group new launch condo Thomson Impressions Preview last week sold 80 units which is almost 30% of the 288 units development. Average psf is 13xx to 14xxpsf. Why Thomson Impressions condo could attract so many buyer to purchase at the level of 2013 launch Thomson Three when many new launch are reducing prices? I think major of the buyers brought with the intention to have their kid enroll into Aitong primary which is within 1Km from Thomson Impressions condo. The other draw is the close proximity to the new Brighthill MRT station. Around 400 meter from Thomson Impressions condo. At a deeper look all previous new launch in Thomson did very well and prices are holding. There are actually not much new launches in Thomson area. Majority of these part of the Island are ocuupied by water catchment area, landed properties and shop houses. It is a ralatively low density area with not much new supply of new condo. Especially when it come to be within 1km to Aitong, parent may not want to take the chance of not having a unit when their child reaches school age.

Combination of good school and MRT. No wonder Thomson Impression can sell 30% of the unit during preview.

Another new launch next to good school and MRT coming. It is Lake Grande near Rulanf Pri and Lakeside MRT.
