So like i was wondering, if u suffer for like the 6-8 years of the bond to get the license and all..is it not worth it ? some of you are already in and have a much better understanding...

Thanks for your opinions
If money is the motivation and not the passion of able to have a first hand experience and hands-on in the finest machine in the planet Earth, Then LAE in not for you. If you really want to be in aviation but dont want to get the hands dirty, You can also aim for Quality assurance Engr or Service Engineer which didn't required License but seated higher in the company organizational chart.

Default Advice for degree holder for LAE

Hello guys, I'm currently a year three aerospace degree student, hoping to enter the LAE apprentice program. I'm in abit hesitant to take the plunge to join TLAE program as I would be around 25-26 years old when I graduate, and due to the low initial allowance provided by company.
1) Would you guys advice a degree grad to take up TLAE program.
2) Every batch, how many degree students join the program?
3) Given a choice, would you join as technical services engineer for airlines or LAE.
4) And will SIAEC cut cost of engineer's pay till engineers see no future out of it!!

Thanks guys for this great thread, look forward to ur advice

If you would like to get your hands dirty and responsible for its airtworthiness then be an LAE.But be prepared for its consequences of pressure, technicians temperament and safety n quality.u are squeeze to do things fast n with high quality.which is impossible.u have to stand your ground to defend your rights.but be prrpare to cover all loop holes.

Being a tech.services is just liasing with OEM and finding repair scheme or alternative
